Noosa is known for its diverse calendar of events and its newest event, the Noosa International Film Festival will see local, Australian and international talent on the big screen in Noosa from 3-6 November 2016.

The festival will present a diverse program including over 140 short and feature length films, a classic silent film, an environmental documentary and an industry guest event; across four towns and five venues from the coastal to hinterland towns of Noosa.

Tourism Noosa CEO Damien Massingham said his organisation was delighted to sponsor the new event and looked forward to welcoming movie buffs to Noosa.

“The Festival is a great cultural addition to Noosa's calendar of events and will no doubt attract visitors to Noosa wanting to take part in this inaugural and boutique film festival”.

Festival Organisers say the quality of the Noosa International Film Festival program has surpassed expectations for the festival's first year.

“The announcement of the Festival Program is an exciting opportunity to place Noosa on the global film festival circuit” said Peter Chenoweth, Festival Director.

“We are confident that the quality and diversity of the Festival Program will entertain and delight film-goers.”
